In this interview, Issa Attye, Deputy Managing Director of MBTP and BUROTOP IRIS, looks back on his entrepreneurial journey, his vision of leadership and the values that have shaped his professional experience.
Trained as an economist and specialising in finance, Issa Attye comes from a family of traders. Based in Congo since the early 2000s, he found an environment conducive to entrepreneurship and development, choosing to see in the challenges of a country in reconstruction as many opportunities as prospects for growth.
At the head of a group that now has more than 3,000 employees, he champions a management approach based on high standards, rigour, quality and developing human capital. For him, success also depends on the ability to delegate, trust your teams and learn from the difficulties encountered along the entrepreneurial journey.
In this interview, Issa Attye also talks about the importance of family, passing things on and resilience, before sharing with young people his vision of entrepreneurship: study your market, be patient, know how to work as a team and, above all, turn an idea into a concrete achievement. One of the most structuring port projects ever undertaken in Central Africa.
